Therapeutic Discovery

This program brings together research groups specialized in different technologies applicable to therapy development, including gene editing, DNA and RNA therapies, drug repurposing, among others. This research program also includes groups working on the development of tools for the preclinical development of therapeutic projects, including the creation of various experimental models and the study of molecular mechanisms. Its approach is cross-cutting and focused on the therapeutic application of scientific advances in rare diseases.

 

Objective:

To drive the development of therapeutic solutions for rare diseases through the study of pathophysiological mechanisms, the validation of therapeutic targets, and the implementation of strategies such as gene therapy, drug repurposing, and bioengineering. The program promotes collaboration among research groups and the translation of results into the healthcare system and the business sector, contributing to the achievement of IRDiRC goals in the therapeutic field.
