  • Mouse Mutant Re-sequencing project The Mouse Mutant Re-sequencing project at the Broad Institute is an NHGRI-funded effort with the goal of identifying mouse mutations using high-throughput sequencing technology and to expedite the recovery of biological information from existing collections of genetically mapped ethylnitrosurea-(ENU) and spontaneous mutants.

  • EUROPHENOME MOUSE PHENOTYPE RESOURCE The EuroPhenome project provides access to raw and annotated mouse phenotyping data generated from primary pipelines such as EMPReSSlim and secondary procedures from specialist centres. Mutants of interest can be identified by searching the gene or the predicted phenotype.
  • EUROPEAN MOUSE PHENOTYPING RESOURCES OF STANDARDISED SCREENS EMPReSS provides a comprehensive database of validated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for screens to determine the phenotype of a mouse.EMPReSS incorporates more than 150 new SOPs. These cover all of the main body systems including; clinical chemistry, hormonal and metabolic systems, cardiovascular, allergy and infection, renal function, sensory function, neurological and behavioral function, cancer, bone and cartilage, and respiratory addition, there are generic SOPs in histology, necropsy, pathology and gene expression.
  • b-CUBE AB b-cube is a spin-off company of the ETH Zürich, specialized in the three-dimensional structural investigation of materials, especially in the biological and medical field. b-cube offers a micro-computed tomography (microCT) service, which allows to non-destructively image the internal three-dimensional structure of objects. Furthermore, b-cube offers assistance in analyzing three-dimensional data of any external imaging source.

Specialising in phenotyping the hearing function. In association with the Hospital Universitario Facultad de Veterinaria-UCM specialised in somatosensory and motor phenotyping; and with the Allergy Service of the Hospital Gregorio Marañón, specialising in phenotyping the respiratory function.   • High-Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy Service (SIERMAC), of the Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas “Alberto Sols”. Specialised in biomedical imaging by magnetic resonance. It provides scientific consultancy, technological support and instrumentation of magenitc resonance.
  • Visual Evaluation Services (VES) of the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, specialised in phenotyping the visual function.
  • Group for Neurogenesis in the Adult Individual of the Instituto Cajal-CIBERNED. A research group specialising in cell and molecular control of the formation of new neurons in the adult brain and in behavioural phenotyping techniques in the mouse.
  • Mouse Mutant Resource (MMR).Repository of the Jackson Laboratory with strains and stocks of mice with spontaneous mutations. Provides detailed information on the genotype and phenotype of these mutants.
  • Mouse Phenome Database (MPD). Database of the Jackson Laboratory with the characterisation of numerous commercial strains of mice. Includes genotype and phenotype data.
  • Medical Imaging Laboratory, Unidad de Medicina y Cirugía Experimental, Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón. Research oriented to techniques of medical imaging. Providing the available molecular image - CT, PET, CT-PET, SPECT, optical, fluorescent molecular tomography FMT, magnetic resonance, all aiming at multimode imaging (structural and  functional) in small animals (rats and mice) – is one of the most complete nationwide, and at the disposal of external users.

  • CIBER-bbn Bioimaging Platform. Includes the following units:
    • In vivo Experimentation Unit: carries out basic preclinical studies (toxicology, histopathology and effectiveness of treatments), complemented by non-invasive optical imaging technologies (bioluminescence and fluorescence), which enable speeding up the process of developing new drugs.
    •  Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Unit I (UAB) This is equipped with 8 spectrometers operating on magnetic fields from 5.8 to 14.1 Teslas (T), including a BioSpec equipped with a 7T horizontal magnet for preclinical studies. Some of the applications of this service are the identification of specific biomarkers of human pathologies by means of magnetic resonance spectroscopy techniques (MRS)
    •  Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Unit II (Universidad de Valencia)Has a RMN 14T  system and equipment for automatic acquisition of metabolic profiles. It also has a totally transparent micro-camera (lab-on-chip) which means this can be used as a high throughput validation tool for therapeutic and/or nanotherapy targets, by using this in high-field (> 11T) NMR equipment, in standard, confocal and electronic microscopies in model systems of cell lines or organotypical tissues.
