Grant: The Ataxia-Telangiectasia Family Association AEFAT is a non-profit organization dedicated to disseminating, informing and providing services on all aspects that can improve the quality of life of people with Ataxia-Telangiectasia (A-T) and their families. One of the objectives of AEFAT is to promote research that can contribute to prevent, mitigate and alleviate the effects of the disease, and ultimately, lead to a cure. Within this framework, we open the present call to fund one Research Project on Ataxia-Telangiectasia.
- All research projects that can, directly or indirectly, impact on the health and well-being of A-T patients will be considered. This includes, but is not limited to: i) studies that increase our knowledge of basic or clinical aspects of the disease; and ii) the development, improvement and validation of techniques and treatments. In this regard, we welcome projects that try to improve general aspects of gene and cellular therapy techniques, irrespective of whether they are specifically focused on A-T itself, provided that they show potential for future application and consider the peculiarities of the disease.
- Applications from anywhere in the World will be considered, although priority will be given to Projects based in Spain and other European countries.
